Class 12 Supplementary Exam Notice 2082

Kathmandu, 19 Shrawan 2082 – The National Examination Board (NEB) has officially published the schedule for the Class 12 Supplementary (Chance) Examination for the academic year 2082. This special examination is intended for students who appeared in the annual exams conducted in Baisakh 2082 as regular candidates (with registration numbers starting from “01”) and meet specific eligibility criteria.

Who Can Apply?

Only students who meet the following conditions are eligible to sit for the supplementary exam:

  • Those who secured a minimum “D” grade or above in all other theoretical subjects but received NG (Non-Graded) in up to two subjects.
  • Those who were absent in up to two subjects while passing the remaining ones.
  • Those who received NG in one subject and were absent in one other subject, provided the rest of the subjects were passed with a “D” or higher.

How to Apply for Re-totaling?

Students who are dissatisfied with their published results of the examination conducted from Baisakh 21 to Jestha 2 can now request a re-evaluation of their answer sheets.

According to the notice issued by NEB, the re-totaling application period starts from Shrawan 20 (2082/04/20) at 12:00 PM and ends on Shrawan 29 (2082/04/29) at 4:00 PM.
  • Visit neb.gov.np and navigate to the Online Payment (Retotaling) section, or go directly to payment.neb.gov.np/StudentPortal.
  • Enter your Symbol Number and Date of Birth (DOB), then click Search.
  • Select the subject(s) you want to retotal by ticking the box next to them.
  • Make the payment using a Digital Wallet.
  • Save the confirmation message received after payment.
  • Check the retotaling result on the NEB website: neb.gov.np.

The supplementary examination will be conducted on two consecutive days:

  • Compulsory English (Code: 0041)

  • All students appearing for only one subject.

  • For students appearing in two subjects, the one with the lower subject code

Bhadra 29, 2082

Sunday

  • For students appearing in two subjects, the one with the higher subject code - (Note: No English exam on this day)

Students appearing for both Compulsory English (0041) and Compulsory Nepali (0021) must take the English exam on the first day and the Nepali exam on the second day. 

Application & Fee Deadlines:

Normal Fee: Rs. 600 per student

Payment Deadline: Bhadra 13, 2082

Late Fee: Rs. 1200 per student

Late Payment Deadline: Bhadra 20, 2082

Final Form Submission via School: Bhadra 22, 2082

Applicants must submit the examination form through their respective schools, along with the payment receipt or online payment proof.

Key Instructions for Examinees:

  • The exam will be conducted only for two days. Students appearing for just one subject must sit for the exam on the first day (Bhadra 28).
  • No supplementary arrangement will be made for absentees.
  • The exam will not be postponed due to public holidays unless officially notified by NEB.
  • Students must bring their own materials such as graph papers, log tables, charts, etc.
  • Carrying mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, or any electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited in the exam hall. Violation will result in cancellation of the exam.
  • Examinees must reach their exam center at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
  • The list of exam centers will be published later, and students must attend the exam from the assigned center only. No center change will be permitted.
