Managing Director
The Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited is publishing this notice to call for applications from interested and eligible Nepali citizens for the position of Managing Director. For more information, please contact the Institute Coordination Branch of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
- The applicant should be between 35 to 58 years of age as of the last date of application submission.
- The applicant should have at least a Master's degree or equivalent in one of the following subjects from a recognized institution: Commerce, Management, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- The applicant should have at least 12 years of work experience in the Nepal Telecommunication Company Limited or a similar telecommunications service provider organization or a fully or partially government-owned institution, and experience in a managerial position. "Managerial position" refers to the tenth or higher level in a hierarchical organization, or the first class or higher in an organization with a graded structure.
- The applicant should not be ineligible for appointment as the Managing Director of Nepal Telecommunication Company Limited as per the "Nepal Telecommunication Company Limited's Managing Director Appointment and Service Facilities Directive, 2081 (First Amendment)".
- Eligible applicants must submit the following documents along with the application:
- Application stating the desired position,
- A copy of the Nepali citizenship certificate,
- Personal details (Bio-data) including qualifications, experience and contact information,
- Copies of academic certificates (including equivalence certificate if the qualification is from a foreign institution),
- Copies of experience certificates (clearly indicating the duration of each level/rank),
- A professional work plan of no more than five thousand words, prepared in Nepali or English on A4 size paper (the work plan must be computer typed, with the applicant's name, surname and address written at the top of the first page, and without any identification marks or the applicant's name mentioned elsewhere, sealed in an envelope),
- One recent passport size photograph.
- The academic certificates and work experience certificates must be notarized.
- Applicants must submit a self-declaration form along with the application.
- The deadline for submitting the application is within fifteen days of the publication of the notice.
- Applications must be submitted to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Institution Coordination Division, Singha durbar.
- Applicants' submitted work plan and its presentation, academic qualifications, experience and interview will be evaluated, and recommendation for appointment will be made to the Ministry.
- Applications that are incomplete or received after the deadline will not be considered.
- The "Directives on the Appointment and Service Facilities of the Managing Director of Nepal Telecommunications Company Limited (First Amendment), 2081" and the format of the self-declaration form to be submitted with the application can be obtained from the Ministry's website at www.mocit.gov.np.
